Mr. Nicolas Polham – Consultant

Nicolas joined EMC in 2009 as a Consultant. His initial roles have seen him actively involved in the development of a strategic plan and financial model for a microfinance business, as well as a full financial model for a client seeking to raise $10M in investment funding. Nicolas has also supported clients of the Export Market Access Fund and contributed to EMC's work on foreign investment promotion and understanding investor perspectives.

Prior to joining EMC Cambodia, Nicolas was a Finance Management Trainee with British American Tobacco Cambodia, where he joined the company's finance leadership team in development of business operational and strategic plans. He also actively participated in international business development projects including a trade marketing feasibility study in Belgium and Russia, the development of BAT's new financial information system in Hong Kong, and the marketing finance strategic plan in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Outside of the business sector, Nicolas previously worked for the U.S. Naval Medical Research Unit No. 2 in Phnom Penh as a Site Supervisor. He coordinated contracted services for the administrative and human resource management of over 80 staff members in the medical research field.

Nicolas holds a BBA in Accounting and Finance from the National University of Management and Postgraduate Diploma in Business from the Economics and Finance Institute of the Ministry of Economy and Finance. Currently, he is pursuing an MBA in General Management from the Charles Sturt University. Nicolas is a Cambodian national.
