Bounma joined the EMC Lao PDR consulting team in 2009 as a Senior Analyst, conducting desk and field research for EMC Laos projects, including the UNIAP Strengthening Private Sector Livelihood Alternatives to Underserved Populations regional initiative.

Prior to joining EMC, Bounma was the National Marketing Specialist for Nam Theun2 Power Company (NTPC) where he helped establish the marketing structure and work plan for NTPC’s income generating agribusiness projects, with the aim to improve livelihoods of resettled villagers in Nakai Plateau. He also was the Lao PDR focal point for Traffic - a global network to combat illegal wild plant and animal trade - where he worked in coordination with the Lao government and partners such as WWF, IUCN and WCS. He has had further experience as a Fundraising Officer for the French NGO Aide et Action and as a consultant for UNICEF.

Bounma holds an MBA from NOSPA (General Management) and a Masters of International Management of Enterprise from UBO University in France (concentration SME Management). He is fluent in English, Thai and French and is a Lao national.
