Most recently, Vilayvanh has assisted in research and analysis for EMC’s work on the GTZ Enterprise Survey 2007 and has been actively engaged in a study on Corporate Social Responsibility in tourism for SNV Laos. Vilayvanh initiates EMC’s evaluation process with potential investment opportunities in Laos and is working on preliminary information requests with several of these. Prior to joining EMC Laos, Vilayvanh has had extensive business experience in Lao PDR, including as the Corporate Affairs Manager for Lao Tobacco (a member of the Imperial Tobacco Group), and the Business Manager for Unilever Thai Trading. In each of those roles, she was responsible for aspects of strategy and business development, implementing recruitment and human resource development strategies, as well as representing these companies in their liaisons with the Government of Lao PDR. Vilayvanh is a member of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Lao PDR, as well as a participant in the IFC-MPDF Lao Business Forum, in which she has played an active role on a number of Sub Groups, including on intellectual property, tax and customs, and law implementation issues. Vilayvanh holds an MBA from the Institute of Small and Medium Enterprises, Business School of Management in France, and a Bachelor Certificate in Economics and Social Science. She is a French national. |
Provincial Investment Profiles. EMC has been contracted by DAI to produce Investment Profiles for six Cambodian provinces for the USAID Cambodia MSME Project. This follows the success of profiles EMC produced in 2008 for six other provinces. The first six profiles can be accessed here. |
