EMGH comprises investment advisory and consulting businesses operating in the Mekong Region – particularly in Cambodia and Lao PDR – as well as a private equity fund focused on those countries.

Consulting

Emerging Markets Consulting (Cambodia) was established in 2004 to provide business consulting and advisory services in the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Mekong Region.

After conducting several projects in Lao PDR, EMC Laos was established in 2008, reflecting EMC’s belief that we should be "locally committed" in the countries where we do business.

The consulting business will also launch a Vietnam presence in 2010, following on from several successfully completed projects in that country.

Investment

A Singapore-registered business operating in Cambodia though a branch office, EMI was originally conceived from the team and experience of EMGH, to serve as the Investment Advisor for the Cambodia-Laos Development Fund S.C.A., SICAV-SIF, a Luxembourg-registered and regulated Special Investment Vehicle.

CLDF will invest to support the growth of transparently managed, innovative businesses in Cambodia and Lao PDR.

Latest News

The year 2009 saw the establishment of Emerging Markets Investments Pte Ltd in Singapore and the registration of the Cambodia-Laos Development Fund (CLDF) and its General Partner in Luxembourg. The Fund had its First Close in December 2009.

The official launch of CLDF was marked by events to introduce the Fund in both Laos and Cambodia in January 2010. The events were attended by members of the private sector and development communities as well as government representatives.
