Emerging Markets

A Singapore-registered business operating in Cambodia though a branch office, EMI was originally conceived from the team and experience of Emerging Markets Consulting Co., Ltd. ("EMC"), a regional consulting firm which provides research, analysis and advice to domestic and foreign investors, governments, donors and non-government organizations in Cambodia and Lao PDR.  

EMI serves as the Investment Advisor for the Cambodia-Laos Development Fund S.C.A., SICAV-SIF, a Luxembourg-registered and regulated Special Investment Vehicle.  In its capacity as the Fund’s Investment Advisor, EMI is responsible for deal origination, evaluation, structuring, post-investment support and exit structuring for the Fund’s investments.  In this role, EMI seeks to provide competitive financial returns to the Fund’s investors, while contributing to the sustainable development of Cambodia and Lao PDR, by capitalizing on the emergence of innovative, transparent and professionally managed businesses and robust economic growth in the region.
