Comprised of seasoned private equity investors and individuals with deep experience in our markets, EMI’s Industry Board provides strategic guidance to the fund and investment team.  EMI expects to seek direct inputs from our Industry Board on sector analysis, company valuation and deal structuring.  
Our Industry Board is comprised of the following members:


Mr. Chip Linehan – General Partner, New Enterprise Associates
Mr. Linehan is a General Partner of New Enterprise Associates, a leading venture capital firm with committed capital of over $8.5 billion focused on helping entrepreneurs create and build major new enterprises that use technology to improve the way people live, work and play. Mr. Linehan joined New Enterprise Associates in 1992 as an Associate, became a Partner in 1997, and a General Partner in 2004. He specializes in healthcare investments, primarily in the healthcare services and healthcare IT areas, and participated in the founding and incubation of Bravo Health.

Mr. Linehan received a BA (cum laude) from Harvard University.


Mr. Rob Koczkar – Managing Director, Pacific Equity Partners
Mr. Koczkar is a Managing Director of Pacific Equity Partners, a leading Australasian private equity firm focusing on buyouts and late stage expansion capital in Australia and New Zealand. The firm provides capital resources, additional operating and transaction experience and an extensive international network to assist the management and leadership team of a selected business move closer to full potential. Mr. Koczkar joined Pacific Equity Partners at its inception and rejoined the firm in June 2004 as a Managing Director having spent the previous 3 years in London. While based in London, he was a Principal with Texas Pacific Group where he focused on their European portfolio. Before moving into the private equity industry, Mr. Koczkar spent seven years with Bain & Company advising clients on issues relating to strategy, mergers, acquisition, privatisation and operating improvements in a wide range of industries.

Mr. Koczkar received a BEng (Hons.) in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Melbourne.


Mr. James Brew – Private Sector Development Consultant
James Brew was the IFC Project Manager based in Cambodia from 2002 until 2007, charged with assisting the development of the Government-Private Sector Forum (G-PSF) dialogue mechanisms in Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam, with a primary focus on facilitation of the Cambodian G-PSF and its eight Private Sector Working Groups. In this role, Mr. Brew worked directly with Cambodian Government counterparts at the highest level (the bi-annual G-PSF event has the status of a cabinet meeting and is presided over by the Prime Minister) and private sector and donor representatives, to introduce structure and process to the formal Cambodian public-private dialogue. Mr. Brew also played a key role in supporting the establishment of the more recent Lao Business Forum.

Mr. Brew was educated at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Kings College, London and the University of New South Wales.


Mr. Jeremy Hajdenberg – Investment Officer, Investisseur et Partenaire pour le Développement
Mr. Hajdenberg is an Investment Officer at Investisseur et Partenaire pour le Développement (I&P), a private investment business focusing on medium sized enterprises in Africa. Prior to I&P, he worked with Monitor Consulting and a non-government organization involved in microfinance in the Philippines.

Mr. Hajdenberg graduated in Development Economics (EHESS, Paris) and in management at HEC Paris, where he currently co-leads a yearly course on “Entrepreneurship, Management and Solidarity
