Emerging Markets Investments ("EMI") advises the Cambodia-Laos Development Fund S.C.A, SICAV-SIF (the "Fund"), a Luxembourg-registered private equity investment fund providing growth capital to SMEs in Cambodia and Lao PDR. The EMI team brings over 25 years of in-country business experience to its role in identifying, evaluating and supporting investment opportunities for the Fund. The Fund will make equity and equity-related investments across multiple sectors in innovative, transparent and growing businesses that require additional financing to capitalize on market opportunities.

The official launch of the Cambodia-Laos Development Fund was marked by events to introduce the Fund in both Laos and Cambodia on January 25th and 28th respectively. The events were attended by members of the private sector and development communities as well as government representatives. Keynote remarks at the Cambodian event were provided by Ms. Kristin Clemet, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Norwegian Investment Fund for Developing Countries. Ms. Clemet served as the Minister of Education and Research for Norway from 2001 to 2005 and as a member of Parliament from 1989 to 1993. |
