| Mr. Mark Taylor - Manager |
|
Mark has led EMC teams on projects involving SME development, NGO sustainability and commercialization, market sizing and feasibility studies, business modelling and analysis, and grassroots business development, reflecting EMC’s work serving both private sector development and business consulting demands. In private sector development work, Mark developed a cassava Value Chain study on behalf of UNDP Cambodia, prompting further enquiries from private sector VC participants. He also took on a lead role in the analysis and reporting of GTZ’s Enterprise Survey 2007 data in Lao PDR, officially launched in November 2008 and in EMC’s production of an Export Booklet for Cambodian SMEs – also published. He currently leads a project on CSR in the tourism sector for SNV Laos, leveraging his significant experience in CSR-related activities. For business consulting clients, Mark successfully guided a feasibility study for an office tower construction project, currently being implemented by a respected international developer. The study paid particular attention to demand assessment and the establishment of a revenue model, as well as to evaluating competing development opportunities. Straddling the PSD and commercial aspects of EMC’s work, Mark engaged in business planning activities both for International Development Enterprises, in relation to ceramic water filter commercialisation, and for CraftNetwork-Indonesia, supported by IFC. Mark holds an MBA from Georgetown University and a BS from Cal Poly University. He is an American national. He has particular interest in issues of Corporate Social Responsibility. |
